Evergreen Creeping Red Fescue is an excellent choice in grass for a good spring green up, shade tolerance and drought tolerance. This fescue has a dark green color and a fine texture. Evergreen works well for overseeding of your lawn or other turf type applications.
This grass is cold tolerant, drought tolerant as well as good for traffic. Evergreen performs well in shade and un mowed areas as well as a compliment with other turf grasses when added in a mix.
Plant in the spring and fall when the soil temperatures are between 60-75. Fine Fescue is generally slower to establish compared to other turf grasses. But because of its slower growth rate this lawn tends to need less mowing compared to other turf grasses.
