Cascade Shade Turf Mix

This mix was developed to provide the same density and color as our popular Yard Master Mix, but it is more adapted to grow in shaded areas.  It has a high tread tolerance and is made of finely textured stands.  It can be used to patch divots in the yard and overseed patches of grass that have died-off due to lack of sun exposure.

Ingredients: Fescue – Red Creeping Evergreen, Ryegrass – Perennial (Turf-Type)

Seeding rates: (For reference: 43,560 sq. ft in 1 acre)

• To sow a new turf lawn:  125 – 175 pounds per acre
• To over-seed an existing lawn:  60 – 85 pounds per acre

Less than one-acre rates:

32,670 sq. ft = 3/4 acre = 93 to 132 lbs for a new seeding/ 45 to 65 lbs for over-seeding

21,780 sq. ft = 1/2 acre = 62 to 88 lbs for a new seeding/ 30 to 43 lbs for over-seeding

10,890 sq. ft = 1/4 acre = 31 to 44 lbs for a new seeding/ 15 to 22 lbs for over-seeding

5,445 sq. ft = 1/8 acre = 16 to 22 lbs for a new seeding/ 8 to 11 lbs for over-seeding

2,722 sq. ft = 1/16 acre = 8 to 11 lbs  for a new seeding/ 4 to 6 lbs for over-seeding
