Northwest Grassland Economy Mix

The Northwest Grassland Economy Mix is a blend of different native grass species that are commonly found throughout prairie or rangeland habitats. Many of these species are spread across much of the northwestern United States.

On a site of bare and loose soil, that will provide optimal seed-to-soil contact, a broadcast seeding rate of 15 lb./acre may be used.  If very little site preparation has been done (i.e. only scratching the surface of the soil and existing vegetation is present), then use the doubled rate of 30 lb./acre.

Blue Wildrye, Hairgrass – Tufted, Hairgrass – Slender, Bluegrass – Pine, Oatgrass – California, Brome – California, Fescue – Roemer’s, Barley – Meadow, Brome – Alaska, Junegrass – Prairie, Fescue – Native Red
